Instrument Care

Some General Care Tips

All of our instruments are kept in normal room temperature conditions. But some maybe more or less sensitive. To prevent damage and to maintain your instrument please read the following.

* Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions: Radiators, boot of car, direct sunlight, lamps, damp, wet conditions etc.

* Brass and other metal instruments may take the cold better. But keep away from wet or damp conditions. Heat will also affect the tone. Extreme heat may cause warpping.

* Keep away from pets and young children.

* Use a suitable instrument polish only when needed. Apply lightly on a soft natural cotton cloth, not the instrument.

* Do not use anything to clean untreated bare wood.

* Do not use anything to clean natural animal skins.

* String instruments: If the instrument is being moved around, loosen the strings after playing. This also applies to newly stringed instruments. The instrument needs some time to adjust to the tension.

* Wind instruments: Use a cotton cloth to wipe off excess water caused by playing.

* Store in a safe place
